Hi Everyone,
Sorry to inform you all that the meeting we had planned for Tuesday, July 28th has been canceled. We will reschedule sometime in early September. Too many of you could not attend. There are also many activities going on with OFA and HCAN. The Health Care Reform debate is heating up and we hope we will have the support of all of you in the coming weeks.
Christiane spent a day in Washington DC at the largest Health Care rally ever and Debbie and I spent a day in DC as well lobbying our Senators and Representatives and telling our health care stories. It was amazing. Debbie will be hosting a House Party soon sponsored by Health Care for America Now. We expect to have a prominent health care expert, perhaps a physician from the National Physicians Alliance to speak. We encourage all of you to attend.
There is ongoing phone banking and canvassing in support of strong health care reform which includes a public option without a trigger. HCAN is targeting constituents in the Blue Dog democratic districts. OFA has phone banking as well and a scheduled listening tour by the new director of PA’s Organizing for America, Elizabeth Lucas.
OFA’s meeting is at the Bridge Club on Monday evening. You all should have received the email.
