Ask women to get together for a common purpose and here is the result:

Eighteen of us scattered throughout Lynne's house last night to call and recruit more women for our Obama reelection campaign team. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, a formidable women advocate, joined us for a while. She reinforced the clear choice between a President on the side of women and his opponent Mitt Romney who promises to destroy Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, Roe vs. Wade, Head Start, etc.

In less than 2 hours, we reached our goals, made over 800 calls, reaching out to more than 100 women and securing the commitment of 67 of them to volunteer.

Women will be calling women in our neighborhood to recruit more volunteers for our team and staff the various Voter Registration events coming up. AND… we will be joined by an amazing leader in women's issues: Congresswoman Jan Schakowski from Illinois!

Refreshment and snacks will be provided. Bring your cell phone if you can, but OFA phones will also be available.
